Skip Beat! Synopsis

High school graduate girl called Gong Xi (Ivy Chen) gives up going to university in order to support her boyfriend, Bu Po Shang (Lee Donghae voiced by Darren), so he can become a successful singer. Gong Xi arrives in Taipei and starts working multiple jobs in order to support her boyfriend financially. His career kicks off and he is soon one of Taiwan’s most popular stars. One day he decides to break up with her. She learns that he only used her to help with his life financially. He leaves her with nothing except a broken heart. She vows to take revenge against him by becoming a bigger, better and more successful star than him. She enters the entertainment industry by a entering through L.M.E, Taiwan’s biggest star agency. She auditions and fails. However, the president of L.M.E sees potential in her and forms a new department, Love Me Department, especially for people like her. She meets another star in her entertainment industry, Dun He Lian (Choi Siwon voiced by Kunda later by Nylon Chen) who is disgusted with her reasons on entering the entertainment industry. He finds many ways to annoy her but he also helps her in her career. Gong Xi’s career takes off and she realises a purpose different from revenge.

Also entering the entertainment is Jiang Nan Qing (Bianca Bai) who also fails at the audition and ends up in the Love Me Department. At first, Nan Qing is very cold towards Gong Xi. Gong Xi vows to gain her friendship.

Po Shang later discovers what Gong Xi really means to him and decides to truly love her for who she is but He Lian may already one step ahead of him.
