SOP Queen Episode 30 Recap

Noooooo, no Tang Jun-Xiao Jie interaction here. šŸ˜¦ Well, not much anyway. Just more of Zi Qi trying to steal back Xiao Jie from Tang Jun and Chu Chu just hiding behind her father.

Board member Zeng asks CEO Tang what happens if she falls tomorrow? She tells him that she can’t leave if he hasn’t fallen yet. He wants to be CEO? She will give him the chance to do so if he signs the contract stating he will return the funds to the company. Without a second glance, he sign the paper. Tang Min tells him that it is not easy managing a company and by using suchĀ despicable means to take charge, he will fall very soon. He tells them that the company will be in good care. Oh and before he leaves, he tells them that none of them are to take a step into the company but he will welcome them if they are coming in as VIP’s to spend some money.Ā Ā

Tang Jun promises that he will take back the company. Tang Min tells him that it is not that easy. They can only sell the house to have enough money to repay the bank. She is very proud of them two for wanting to protect the company. Maybe she could ask some old friends for help? Tang Jun tells her that it is no use, he has already tried. She then suggests that they sell the house but Tang Min is strongly against it. She tells them that it doesn’t matter if they don’t have the company or the house, as long as the are safe and healthy together as a family being anywhere is a home. Tang Jun supports his mother’s words and promises to use the money from this house to take back the company.

CEO Tang tells Uncle Zhao that she is really not willing to leave the company in board member Zeng’s hands but tells him not to tell Tang Jun or Tang Min in case it pressures them.

Zi Qi is congratulated for his help to the board members. Board member Zeng tells them that when he assumes the position of CEO, he will return the company’s funds and announce the good news of opening of the second store. He tells Zi Qi to do well, he will treat him well. (Oh, I never thought that Zi Qi would agree to do this)

<– Ommmggggg, Zi Qi is tall!

The colleagues just hopes that their new CEO will be good to coorperate with. Their faces drop when CEO Zeng enters. After some assuring words, he announces the creative director and project manager for this project to be Zi Qi and Chu Chu respectively which brings shock and surprise to their faces.

CEO Zeng is going crazily happy as he gets to sit on the CEO chair. On the serious note, he tells Chu Chu and Zi Qi that they are his most trusted people now and hopes that they will get along well to make the company a Zeng family company. Zi Qi says that he will make Golden Imperial SeaĀ Shanghai’sĀ best department store but he has a request – to build his own team. CEO Zeng tells him that he can do as he pleases as long as it is beneficial to the company. (Xiao Jie?) Zi Qi recalls the time when he asked Xiao Jie if they could go back in time would she still be with him which she answers yes and his confession to her that he did fall in love with her.

Zi Qi invites Xiao Jie to return to the company to his special assistant which she immediately rejects. He threatens her saying that if she doesn’t come back, he will fire Su Su, Zheng Fan and Su Li. He is about to leave when she asks him why must he want her to return to the company. He doesn’t hide the truth and tells her that he only has one reason to come to Shanghai – for her. After hearing this, she agrees to be his special assistant.

Guess who immediately opposes this and goes to her daddy’s side? Chu Chu! CEO Zeng asks Zi Qi for his reason for finding Xiao Jie. He tells them that his purpose for coming to the coming is very simple – he wants to steal Xiao Jie away from Tang Jun’s side. CEO Zeng does not deny that Xiao Jie is a genius and even agrees that she will be beneficial to the company. However, Chu Chu still opposes this; she doesn’t want to see or work with her. Her father explains to her that they are of different positions, Xiao Jie is merely an assistant while she is a project manager and Xiao Jie’s superior. Furthermore, they need someone who can knows the company well.

Tang Jun opposes Xiao Jie returning to the company while his sister and mother are very supportive of this idea because this way they can protect their workers and not let the Zeng family do as they please. After some persuasion from his mother and sister, he agrees. He asks Xiao Jie would this grievance her. She tells them that ever since she came to Shanghai they have been treating her very well and this is only only way to repay them.

CEO Zeng and his board member friends are out golf and they praise CEO Zeng for not playing the wrongĀ piece; Zi Qi is indeed a choice find. Considering the success of theĀ previousĀ mall event, people would want to be at the second store’s counters.

Ā  Ā

Xiao Jie is having this cute conversation with Tang Jun when Chu Chu comes up to her. (Ohkay, well, Chu Chu looks creepy… Her pale pink lipstick just doesn’t match her. It creeps me out. Ahahahahha!) She specially targets her telling her to hand her the information tomorrow which is supposed to be for next week.

So she goes and files a complaint to her daddy. She is jealous that Xiao Jie are Tang Jun are so happily together, everyone is living happily except her who is hurt. He laughs and says that this is only the peace period before the storm breaks. It is easy to ruin the Tang family but it is not easy to make the Tang family unable to stand up. Tang Lan has many people in Shanghai who is willing to help help and furthermore, the Tang siblings are very smart. When Tang Lan was sick in bed, the banks sided with him but now that she is standing firm… He tells her that what they have to do is make the Tang family have no position in Shanghai. All she has to do is sit back and watch the show.

After the meeting, the Su Su asks Xiao Jie why she is back here working. Zheng Fan mentions that the entire family is jobless so of course someone has to be the money earner. Zi Qi comes and tells them that Xiao Jie came back for them. He tells her to print him off a copy of the document and bring it to his room.

Ā  Ā

She brings in the document and asks why he stood up for her. He tells her that he is just telling the truth and furthermore, gossip going on in his team would just affect her work effort. She thanks him for handling office mattersĀ appropriately. He tells that if she wants to thank him then she should do well in her work. And also, he was using work matters for his own personal benefit. Seeing her happy face will make him happy.

It’s late at night/early morning and Xiao Jie and Zi Qi are still hammering away. He brings her a can of coffee and asks her if she remembers them working overtime together in the past. Looks like she has forgotten. He stacks his can on top of her and she recalls their first encounter. He tells her that she fell drunk during their beer stacking and she feel asleep during the showcase. She tells him that he also fell asleep during the showcase and asks him if heĀ remembers when they woke up they were surrounded by cameras. Ahhhh, how quickly time passes by. She no longer has to stack beer cans or design showcases. Everything has changed, even him. She tells him he has become cold and detached.

She asks him why he came to Shanghai. He clearly knew her relationship with the Tang family so why did he help CEO Zeng? He asks her if she would believe it if he told her he came to Shanghai not to help CEO Zeng but for her.

He drags her out to watch the sunrise with him making her recall their sunrise watching where he fell asleep. He tells her that in the past he missed the chance to watch the sunrise with him but now he finally has the chance to fix that. She tells him that there is a sunrise everyday, it is no big deal. He tells her that this ‘no big deal’ was missed time and time again causing today’s regret. He tells her that they missed out the chance of watching the sunrise in Taipei together, finding her when she left for Shanghai and wiping her tears away when she was hurt in England. He tells her he doesn’t want to miss out any more.

My Opinion:

Oh, I am ever so glad that this is not the last ep. They just can’t end it like this. I really thought that it would end with 30 eps. Ahahahahahah. Yay! Just more of Tang Jun and Xiao Jie.

After what has happened to Chu Chu her thinking has gone lopsided. She was rational and had a clear mind. Now, it’s like someone hasĀ brainwashedĀ her to think to only think that if she can’t be happy she can’t let the one she loves be happy either. Well, I guess if she is thinking this way, she doesn’t Tang Jun very much. I like her as the innocent and pure Chu Chu. And once again, she continues to hide behind her daddy. I want to see her break out out her safe haven and actually sees reality for herself.

Naaaawws, CEO Tang is such a good mother. (: The company is her lifetime of effort but yet she is willing to sacrifice it for the happiness of her children. Ahahaha, I am surprised that she is able to handle all this just waking up. I am also surprised of her sudden change in attitude towards Tang Min. She was very cold towards Tang Min but now they share a warm bond. Though, I guess that isĀ understandableĀ considering Tang Min was willing to sacrifice herself for the company and family.

I felt that the colleagues turned cold and distant to Xiao Jie and Tang Jun just because they are kicked out of the company. And you would think that after everything they have been through together they would remain a friendship. I honestly thought the colleagues, especially Su Su would definitely stand up for Xiao Jie. I’ll just take it that their work is more important.

I still don’t feel Zi Qi’s love for Xiao Jie. I feel like he just wants her because he wants her because of guilt and because he wants to win.

Ahahahahaha, it is weird for me to want Chu Chu and Zi Qi together? Ahahahahaha. I hope Zi Qi and Chu Chu will be able to end up with somebody. (:

Ahahahahhaa, well my chinese is not that good either. Ahahahahha, when writing recaps google translator and chinese dictionaries are my best friend. LOL, these people talk with too much idioms!

Thanks for the recap! I honestly thought it was going to end at 30 too though I wouldn’t mind if it did since that means Zi Qi and Xiao Jie end up together. Haha. =P
I think he does like Xiao Jie…. He’s been ignoring Ji Qing’s advances and only focused on work. When he got a chance to, he went to Shanghai, though I think it’s unfair that he’s trying to steal her from Tang Jun. Tang Jun didn’t steal Xiao Jie when Zi Qi was still together with her. But what’s fair in love and war? (Plus Zi Qi’s not being too underhanded.)

Ahahahaaha, what!? You are not a TJ-XJ shipper?
LOL, he does love XJ but his sudden love for her puts me on the edge with his feelings.

You’re so fast with your recaps! Was googling Queen of SOP and came across your site. (: I was unsatisfied and unhappy when I realised that it was only an half an hour last episode! It cant be! Definitely not with such an ending so far. And kudos to you for doing recaps if your chinese is as not that good, as you say!

Btw, Tang Jun’s sister is Tang Min, not Tang Mi. And it’s Su Su, Zheng Fan and Su Li respectively. And sell the ‘house’ for funds, not the company. ^^

Out of topic here, but I’m guessing that you’d have watched episode 8 of Tiger Cubs? If you havent, there’s no personal relation in this episode’s case, you’d be happy to know. xD And I was swearing at Witness Insecurity’s ending. &*#$*^#*^$*(!

Thanks! Ahahaha, luckily it ends with 33 eps!

Thanks for the pointer; see, my chinese is not that good. Ahahaha.

LOL, nopes, not yet. Ahahaha, thanks for the head up. I will be looking forward to it. Me too! How can it end like that!?

That’s a really long last episode seeing how it’s in 3 parts. Lol. Tang Jun was so cute the way he treated Xiao Jie before he left for England! There are talks of a second season. I found this a little draggy some parts, but overall still quite nice. I hope the second season will be as sweet, if not sweeter. ^^

        It’s really good already though! Like you mentioned, all the idioms they use! I have trouble myself sometimes. I’m taking a guess that you’re a Chinese in Australia? ^^;

Not much action on the part of SDU though, unfortunately.

I feel so sad for Zi Lin, seeing how she’s losing both her father and lover. But that ending really sucks. My friend was cursing the scriptwriter. Hahaha. Wasnt very satisfied at how all the action for WI is only in the first few episodes either. Bah.

      • misscupcakees August 1, 2012 at 9:01 pm

Nahh, not really. It is always 3 eps. (: Nawwws, Tang Jun and Xiao Jie are always cute together~!

Yeahh, I heard that there are talks of a second season. I hope so. (: I hope they would continue of the lines of this plot.

Ahahahha, yeahh, but I guess idioms are good because it means you are more chinese knowledgeable. Ahahahahs! LOL, yeah, I am. How’d you know? Ahahha, I guess you are also a chinese-aussie?

Ohhh, I’ll have to wait and see. (:

The ending was very unexpected for me. I wasn’t satisfied with the action either. It all died down during the second half of the drama. And he loved her!? Really? -.-

O: Is that the case for Cdramas, having 3 parts to a last episode? I dont watch many, so I didnt know that.

I guess by the time of the comments. Hahahaha. I’m not an Aussie Chinese, nor am I in Aussie. I’m in NZ. ^^

For what it’s worth, I did like the theme song though. How not to when it’s all they played?! Hahaha.

      • misscupcakees August 5, 2012 at 4:46 pm

Well, not really. It’s just that this particular drama airs 3 eps a day in China…

LOL, ahahahaha! You have good detective skills. Ahahaha!

Yeahh, it’s sung by Chen Qiao En.
