The Hippocratic Crush II Episodes 11-13 Video Previews

It feels so good to finally be free from exams! I can finally breathe a huge sigh of relief! *Breeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaatttttttttttttttttttthhhhhhhhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!* I can finally have my drama life back! I have been waiting for this ever since my exams started! Thank you for all of you readers who have supported me through this exam period! I was very sad that I couldn’t drama and post as much as I would have loved to but thank you so so so much for understanding! (:

This week only three episodes of The Hippocratic Crush II (AKA On Call 36 Hours II) aired since TVB made a special screening of the 2013 TVB Anniversary Gala in place of THCII on the Tuesday at which Kenneth Ma was personally voted by his peers as the TV King of 2013 (though this outcome has no effect on the upcoming TVB Anniversary Awards) with Kristal Tin claiming the female counterpart while Will Power aired in THCII’s place on Friday. That one ep will be made up during the two hour finale, which is not all that long away; THCII comes to an end in just under three weeks! But yet there are still a number of storylines that have yet to take shape.

I complained last week about the lack of Cheung Yat Kin/Yat Kin Tau and Fan Ji Yu/Yu Jai (Tavia Yeung) as well as Hung Mei Suet (Mandy Wong) and Lau Bing Chan/Benjamin (Benjamin Yuen)’s scene and I will complain about it again this week. They are the heart and soul of this drama but their screentime can hardly be compared to the new cast. The focus has shift away from being on them to being on the new characters. I like the additional cast but I dislike the fact that they are taking away the screentime from where I want it to be. If I do not see more development between Yat Kin Tau-Yu Jai and Mei Suet-Ben in the upcoming weeks I will seriously be filing complaints left and right! I thought THCII was performing well as a sequel but now I really beg to differ.

I have seen enough of Yat Kin Tau-Yu Jai cooling down (no, not really; they haven’t had enough screentime). What I really want to see is them cutesy and lovey dovey with each other. I want to see them together as a couple walking through obstacles together. I understand that them cooling off is an obstacle that they have to cross if they want to have a strong, healthy relationship but I would really prefer to see them together and not separated. I just hope that they will make up soon, because I really do not want to see them like this for the entirety of the drama.

I seriously hope that there will be more focus on where it needs to be from next week onwards. I really loved the prequel and I do not want this sequel to ruin what I loved from the prequel.

Check out the previews, filled predominantly with filler scenes, i.e. scenes that do not hold the focus of where it is supposed to be.

Yeung Pui Chung/Onion: I’ll give this to you. After you look at it you will understand.

Ce Hui Tung/Ce Ce: Hi.

Hung Mei Suet: You rejected Ah Ting in public! You made her make mistakes at the hospital!

Lok Man Sang/Lokman: Welcome! This way.

Fan Ji Yu/Yu Jai: Okay.

Cheung Yat Kin/Yat Kin Tau: You suddenly went to change specialities, are you really going to learn everything from head-to-toe again? You just can’t handle loosing the baby and the regrowth of your tumour and taking a step to abandoning yourself.

Fan Ji Yu/Yu Jai: Then we should separate and cool off/calm down.

Lok Man Sang/Lokman: Lam Ye.

Yeung Pui Chung/Onion: Twin brothers?

Doctor: The bacteria has already spread throughout the body and several organs show signs of failure.

Lam Ye: I cannot persist any more. I will only put [my younger brother] through more sufferings.

Heung Cin Yi: The DNR papers have been signed.

Ce Hui Tung/Ce Ce: Why would Daddy do that? … I feel that even if it is 0.1% of a chance, you should persist to save him.

Ce Hui Tung/Ce Ce: Would Uncle want to see this woman?

Yeung Pui Chung/Onion: Would this woman be the Ka Pik whom Uncle Kam speaks of?

Mou Yong Wai/David: But she sang really good so she quickly made a name for herself. Heaven envived her beauty!

Yeung Pui Chung/Onion: … hanged herself at home. No wonder why your uncle wrote “A Song Cut Short”.

Patient Kam: You have come. I really miss you.

Hey, I love your reviews, and I feel exactly the same about how you understand about the cooling down between Yut Kin and Yu Jai, but at the same time, you want them to go through obstacles together << I feel exactly the same there, and I really hope that they will make up/get back together and be lovey dovey again, since the sequel did started off good, but now, I'm really sad to see Tavia being cold to him for his own good 😦

I agree with you about the addition of new casts have taken away the screentime of the original casts…

I love the prequel but at the same time I also enjoy the sequel for Yut Kin/Yu Jai (as the main) and the other original casts as well 🙂

Awwww, I feel really happy to hear that!

I do want to see Yat Kin Tau and Yu Jai go through obstacles together but I do not want to see them on this cooling-off period for the rest of the drama. I think we have already seen enough of this and it would be nice to see them reconcile.

I know! I am very disappointed with that! Most of the characters are necessary but there are some who aren’t but yet they are taking away the focus from where I want it to be, namely Ce Ce. They drama can develop well without her. She is not needed here and is just taking away the time for Yat Kin Tau and Yu Jai.

Me too! I do really like that this sequel has brought across the theme and atmosphere of the prequel. 🙂

    You’re welcome! 🙂

The same can be said on my end here ^^ It’s very nice to have met someone online that share similar feelings to me when watching this drama ❤ I was getting a little upset on my end, when wherever I read people starts to dislike Yut Kin and find him annoying etc etc 😦 When I personally don't blame him on my end because he just worries for her, like: "his worrying for her just shows how much he values her life". I actually love all those scenes that have Yut Kin (and sometimes I do misses him so much because he hardly gets shown in this sequel 😦 ). But any scenes that have Yut Kin and Tze Yu (if they can reconcile back I would be so happy), because like you, I feel the same, and I would rather Yut Kin and Tze Yu go through obstacles together, I would be disappointed on my end as well, if they separate for the rest of the series 😦

Some casts/screentime is not necessary I agree, especially with the pairing: Suen Man Yuet (Louisa So 蘇玉華. Dr Lok sister in law) with his best buddy (don't remember his name) at the Cafe… I personally don't see the purpose of the pairing on my end. Featuring their focus will lead to less the screentime with Yat Kin and Yu Jai.

I feel the same with you there! 😀 I am sure that Yut Kin and Yu Jai will reconcile, and when they do (I will be happy), since from what I saw out of the screenshots/spoilers, they do have alot of emotional scenes (and some are sweet too, that is yet to show) ^^

I can't wait to see them kiss onscreen [I am a KenTa fan after watching On Call 36] on my end 🙂

P.S. Sorry for leaving you a long reply there. Anyways, keep up the good work on your reviews! 😉

Nawwws, you are too sweet! Keep these comments coming! I would be happy to talk to you!

I totally see why people would find him annoying and frankly, if I was Yu Jai, I would also find him annoying. This is just him caring for her because he loves her, but he is just overdoing it. I understand that he doesn’t want her to get hurt etc, but he needs to take a breather and allow her to make decisions for himself. He also needs to loosen up and live his own life for himself and not for her. The reason that she married him in the first place was because he was himself; she doesn’t want him to change for her.

If there is not more Yu Jai-Yat Kin Tau on my screen, I will be really mad! They are the heart and soul of the drama. Furthermore, they are reason why I love this drama. I don’t mind the new cast by I do not like them hindering Yu Jai-Yat Kin Tau screentime! Lokman and Cin Yi is also another pairing that I really like in this drama but the people who surrounds them are actually quite unnecessary to the drama. They just take away the screentime from where I want it to be.

Ahahaha! Me too! I need them to reconcile ASAP! I think they have had a long enough cooling-off period already.

Once again, thank you! I will do so! (:

    I’m glad to know! ^^

Yeah, after watching Episode 14 I agree with you. For the previous episodes, I am more on the understanding side of Yut Kin, and I actually find anything he does for Yu Jai was sweet (especially the previous episode 13, how he took a photo of the night starry sky for her ❤ but Yut Kin really needs to loosen up on his end like you said 😦

I am afraid if this keeps up, it will leads to more ill feelings for Yu Jai 😦 And the relationship might not last (hence why they got that scene of the wedding again?)

It is some-what sad because the sequel started off really good, but now, it is losing it's charm (for me, but I'll still keep watching it for Yu Jai-Yut Kin Tau) because of how things are heading at the moment. I don't want to see Yu Jai being stubbornly cold to Yut Kin to make him realize on his end, because ironically I felt that the more she is doing this, the more it is only making things worse between them (as they are both really stubborn) on their end. Like you, I agree, they have enough cooling off already, and they should reconcile, and go through this together.

    Personally, I do love Yut Kin Tau's character, but I don't want, because of this anxiety that he develops in this sequel to destroy what I love in his character from the prequel and especially the start of the Sequel. ;A;

I will feel the same if their scenes continue to cut short! They are for me as well!
Lok-man and Chin Yi is a nice pair there for me too 🙂 On my end, I also like Mei Suet and Ben as well.

They better reconcile soon! Hope so soon! because I don't want the whole drama to take out the most portion on Yu Jai and Yut Kin being separated!
I would still love Yut Kin Tau and Yu Jai regardless, and they are the reason why I love this drama as well.

    You're welcome 🙂

Yeahhh, I would like to see him loosen up and live a life of his own where he isn’t constantly worrying about other people. After losing his younger brother, I think it just made him more eager to protect the ones around him. I hope that he can realise this soon so that he can Yu Jai can get back together! I want to see them together again lovey-dovey with each other!

I agree, the sequel did started off really well, but I just dislike the unnecessary focus on the new characters! I also dislike with what they are doing with Yu Jai and Yat Kin Tau. They do need to go through obstacles together but I don’t want them to be separated for the entire drama!

They are my three favourite coupling in this drama too! It’s just ashame that their screentime have been taken away from characters such as Ce Ce. She has had way too much focus! I really would want the focus shifted elsewhere, namely on the development of these three couples.

I need them to reconcile soon too! They better reconcile soon or else I will be losing my like for it.

Ahahaha, me too! I love them regardless, but I would love to see more of them!
