My Opinion on Itazura na Kiss 2 ~ Love in TOKYO Episode 6

INK2Oh no, this ep was all about relationship turmoils for our OTP pushing them to breaking point. The jealousy kicked in but resulting in a negative effect rather than a positive. The jealousy is pulling the OTP apart rather than bringing them closer together. Naoki is handling his jealousy totally opposite to what one expects. Instead of putting up a game against his love rival, he is distancing himself from his wife leaving her in all sorts of confusion and frustration. Poor Kotoko who is trying her very best to remain positive of the situation despite receiving the cold shoulder from her hubby but she can only do so much because a relationship can only work with participation from both parties but not both parties are willing to participate. Someone Like You Drops Long Trailer at Press Conference

Someone Like YouSomeone Like You released its 16 minute long trailer earlier yesterday at its press conference ahead of tomorrow’s premiere. While I am still a bit iffy with the plot, I quite like what I am seeing from the trailer! It’s a nice mix of cool tones with warm tones so that’s a positive sign. The cinematography is really nice just as the stills showed and the arrangement and drawing out of certain scenes are also really nice. The team behind SLY are putting in a lot of production effort to bring this drama piece to life and so far it is translating on screen. Continue reading

My Sunshine Releases Long Preview Ahead of Premiere

MSGu Man‘s popular internet novel Silent Separation (何以笙箫默) is finally arriving on-screens as My Sunshine after the successful novel-to-drama adapation of Come Eat, Shan Shan (杉杉來吃) into Boss & Me. My Sunshine premieres in just a few days on the 10th of January and I am hoping that it will capture the novel as nicely as Boss & Me did. My Sunshine is not as fluffy as Boss & Me but there is still lots of fluff about it but that comes with some angst to give the story a kick. My Sunshine released its 15 minute long preview earlier this week and I am quite liking what I am seeing except for maybe a few bits here and there with the leads Wallace Chung and Tiffany Tang having all the necessary chemistry. It’s not sizzling hot but it is there and will hopefully heat up as the drama progresses. Continue reading

My Sunshine Releases Cute Promo Materials Offering a Boss & Me Vibe

My SunshineLooks like I will be heading over to China for my dramas in 2015! So far I have two Chinese dramas that I really really really want to watch and they both so happen to star Tiffany Tang. Her first drama for 2015 will be My Sunshine (title recently changed from You Are My Sunshine) which is adapted from the popular online novel Silent Separation (何以笙簫默) by Gu Man whose other novel Come and Eat, Shan Shan (杉杉来吃) also got adapted into the successful drama Boss & Me. I’ve been saying that I would go and read Come and Eat, Shan Shan but I have been too busy for it. With all these dramas that I want to see in 2015, I really don’t have the time just yet. I guess I’ll stick with dramaing for now. 😛 Tiffany will be playing a romantic couple with Wallace Chung here. Continue reading

Someone Like You Releases Gorgeous Promo Material

Someone Like YouIt seems like SETTV is really taking out the big guns to revive its Sunday-night dramas which have not been performing so well in recent times. The promos for the upcoming drama Someone Like You which will take over Say Again Yes I Do (AKA I Do2) on the 11th of January next year is just soooooo beautiful to look at! The stills are some of the best that I have seen in a long while. It’s soft to the eyes and the colours work perfectly well together. I can’t get enough of it which is just as well because more keeps coming out. And I say keep them coming because who can say no to pretty visuals? Continue reading

Lorene Ren and Kingone Wang Drop Gorgeous, Breath-Taking Stills for Someone Like You

Someone Like YouMerry Christmas my beautiful readers! I hope you are all enjoying this festive season!

Sunday night drama Say Yes I Do Again (AKA I Do) will be ending in a few weeks and that means a new drama is getting ready to take over the spot. SETTV Sunday night dramas have been quite a dud in recent years, particularly after Miss RoseKing Flower (AKA Substitute Princess OR Replacement Princess OR The Adventure Of King Flower) was a relative success but the drama went through some major changes during its run. Love Around was just plain boring and I actually sat around recapping it. Déjà Vu and Fall in Love with Me were both trainwreck makjang crazies and just kills brain cells. The currently airing SYIDA is draggy, tedious and falls into the boring category. None of these five dramas have managed to excite me but the upcoming drama Someone Like You (Chinese literal title: Hearing Happiness) is visually appealing! The drama itself might stink and truthfully, I am just going to close my eyes and hope for the best for this drama. At least the visuals are pleasing to look at. Continue reading

My Opinion on It’s Okay, It’s Love

IOILIt’s Okay, It’s Love is a quirky drama that I would describe has being weird and beautiful all in one. It was a very interesting drama to watch and I caught on after hearing many positive reviews in addition to wanting to see how it will tackle the theme of mental health. It sure gave this theme a lot of exposure because 2015 is set-up for an abundance of mental health based dramas. IOIL is a drama that depicts romance, friendship and family on top of psychiatry.  It sounds like a lot going on for the one drama but there is a nice blend of the various elements which gives the drama a good balance. The theme of mental health is quite a raw one in k-dramas but IOIL has set the bars up high and watching was such a joyous adventure, especially seeing the various relationships develop and how the manifestation of schizophrenia to a person close at heart takes a toll on the relationships. My Opinion on Itazura na Kiss 2 ~ Love in OKINAWA (Special)

INKLIO

Hi my fellow and dearest readers! Guess who’s back!? That’s right, me! I missed you guys, did you miss me? It’s been soooo long since I dramaed and blogged but I am very glad to be back on board! I just want to thank you all for sticking by me and my blog even when I was on hiatus! You can be sure to receive drama posts from me now!

Soooo, prior to my exam, I had heard news of Itazura na Kiss 2 ~ Love in TOKYO coming out this Spring but I was a little upset since it was going to air during my exam period! I loved the first season and was so ready to live-watch this season! I was ready to watch it right under exams and to my surprise, it was only the special Itazura na Kiss 2 ~ Love in OKINAWA that aired during my exam period and that the drama itself will start airing the 24th of November, so that means I will be able to live-watch it (yay!). Fated to Love You vs. Fated to Love You

Fated to Love You T
Fated to Love You K
Hi guys! This will be my final post before I hibernate myself and study the heck out of me! I appreciate you guys for understanding and I can’t wait to be back watching dramas again!

Having thoroughly enjoyed both the Taiwanese and Korean versions of Fated to Love You, I decided to write a comparison post comparing the two versions, since I think it will be fun to compare the different aspects and to highlight the similarities and differences between the two versions. I had an unbearably difficult time in deciding how to type of this post which included me backspacing everything that I wrote numerous times. Even right now I am still quite iffy how I should set about on this post! If you have any ideas on how to write these posts (took me ages to write this one!), you should definitely comment and let me know for any future posts! I’m not sure how this comparison post will turn out since I’ve never written one like this but here it is anyways. I hope you guys enjoy this post! If you saw both versions, please leave a comment below letting me know which version you liked better!  Continue reading

My Opinion on Fated to Love You (Korean) Episodes 9-12

Fated To Love You Usually when I watch dramas, I go into it without much pre-knowledge except for maybe a few lines of the synopsis. I’m not really one for spoilers because I like being hit with the element of surprise so I usually restrain myself from reading or watching anything too spoiler-y. Maybe it is because I have seen the original but for this current airing of Fated To Love You, I have constantly been stalking forums and the official website for every single update about it. These four eps were intense to say the least. A looooot happened in a four eps and in real time, this all happened in a few mere weeks. Weeks, not months but weeks and when you think about it, the different relationships were bubbled and burnt at an uncontrollably fast pace. It’s the closing of one chapter for the fated story, but this is just the start of a new beginning. It will be fate that draws the OTP together once again because they are just fated and meant to be together. Continue reading
