It’s a happy ending, as all dramas should be. Of course our OTP ends up together. All the loose ends are tied up here in a happy fashion. It is very clichéd and ended like expected it would. This ep doesn’t leave any surprises; it is all very straight forward. As much as I have grown to warm Jae Hee and Tae Joon as a couple, I still rooted for Eun Gyul and Jae Hee all the way till the very end.
The 6′ o clock alarm rings and Tae Joon just slams it down hoping to get some more sleep. Nope, that’s a can’t do. Jae Hee is already up and running. She wakes him, making sure he is up and ready for training. As he is getting ready, she feeds him some sandwiches and some milk. Continue reading
Three dates, two with Tae Joon and one with Eun Gyul. She is one lucky girl! This ep does well to show Eun Gyul as a character. (:
After the shock of revelation that Jae Hee is a girl all along, Eun Gyul storms out of the bathroom in anger. Jae Hee chases after him apologising that she should have told him earlier and it shouldn’t have happened this way. He questions “What are you sorry for? Are you sorry for playing me around like that?” She tells him that it’s not like that but he counters “If you were slightly sorry for me, if you really thought about me, if you took my confession seriously, you would have not done this.” He goes to walk off while she continues to apologise. He tells her, “Forget it. I was the only one who misunderstood but I’m yelling at you.” Poor guy! Continue reading
It would only make sense for Tae Joon’s issue with his daddy to be resolved and for Eun Gyul finally discovering the truth the week before entering the finale week. Tae Joon and Jae Hee really have got to come to terms with their feelings for each other. It is becoming harder and harder for them to pretend that they are only just friends. These two have got to come face to face with their feelings.
Tae Joon makes his way back to dorm and visiting his father in hospital is not even a priority. However, Jae Hee is going to make it a priority. She can’t let him do something that he is going to regret. It is obvious to her that he is going to ache and torment over it. Tae Joon looks back and her persuasion has worked.
Together they arrive at the hospital. Jae Hee makes the excuse that they need to bring in something so she goes off to buy something giving the father-son some quality time together. Continue reading
A lot of drama clichés and plots tend to complicate themselves or become clearer nearing the end of the drama and it was no exception here. While many of the drama plots were at the background, here they make an appearance in the foreground and will lead to further development of the drama. What this drama fails at here is that a lot of the plots of this drama rely on the strength of the preceding plot and it is weak, then the following one would be weak too, much like dominoes.
If you had hopes that the OTP would get together, well let me splash water to your fire because that will never happen until the very last ep.
Jae Hee doesn’t even get any time to think of how to reply to Tae Joon’s confession/request for her to stay by his side because Eun Gyul chooses this time to enter and exchange their phones. Tae Joon just pushes him out of the way and storms out with a darkened face. Even Eun Gyul can sense that there is some fishy business between Tae Joon and Jae Hae. Continue reading
This ep has redeemed itself from the solemn ep 11. There is jealousy, friendship and even the teacher relationship is heading on its own boat. Ahhh, Eun Gyul continues to rock my boat! I just love this guy! It’s ashame that Jae Hee doesn’t like him. But that’s okay because I am here!
After hearing the confession, Jae Hee tries to shake it off as a joke but Eun Gyul is standing firm that this is not a joke. Tae Joon walks in on them like easing the now awkward moment between Eun Gyul and Jae Hee asking them how they ended up together. She explains that they came back from Eun Gyul’s house together and she went there because she was worried about Eun Gyul’s absence. Now that the explaining is done, Tae Joon tells Jae Hee to go in. Continue reading
If anything, this ep is bland and leaves you wanting things to develop, like, now! The only thing that you would actually get out of this ep is that Han Na is injured and using this to tug and pull Tae Joon. Other than that, each of the characters are in stuck in a hole that they are each trying to come out of. I really felt like this ep was a huge downfall from the previous ep, and last ep was everything but a downfall.
Tae Joon walks out in a not-so-good mood furious at Han Na. Jae Hee goes to tell him what she should have said earlier but the words don’t come out in time. Seeing her reluctance, he tells her to tell him later. And with that, he leaves. Continue reading
Oh wow, this ep really brings on a turning point for the drama and it establishes a dilemma for the viewers. It it filled with curiosity, eagerness and desire. Our leads are establishing where they stand and what they are feeling. They are not only content with what’s going on in their lives but are also thrown with questions that and problems for them to solve. Both Tae Joon and Eun Gyul and put in a situation where they can no longer deny their feelings any more. This ep really makes you look back and consider all the ups and downs and roundabouts that the leads have been through. Since the appearance of Jae Hee a lot has changed hasn’t it?
(Is it me or a very long review?) After a long review of the last half of the drama, it finally heads back to the camp site where Eun Gyul goes to admit his feelings but as you know, the shooting stars appear just at the right time to stop him from doing so. She makes a sincere wish while Eun Gyul chooses to watch her instead of using this time to make a wish. Continue reading
We finally get to see Eun Gyul discover what is really going on in his heart. He has finally come to terms with the person he is and is not afraid to show it. Ahhh, poor Eun Gyul is really questioning his personality. When you like someone, no matter what they do, they will just attract you. Eun Gyul really has shown a commendable amount of growth and change. He shows it in a way that is not sudden but gradual. Even from Da Hae of the previous ep, and everything that progresses in this ep, it still flows on smoothly.
We also finally get to see Tae Joon’s even more adorable side to Jae Hee. The way he treats her is tentative, caring and adorably cute! He has changed his attitude towards her so much since the beginning but even now just shows his inner character and how much she has changed him.
Even Jae Hee has transitioned so much but yet it is very free flowing.
Jae Hee pulls him off and asks him if he knows what he is doing. He comes to realise what he has done and claims that it is a surprise for her birthday. He hands her the box and runs off before she can even say anything more. She is happily amused to see the necklace there while Eun Gyul has finally worked out that the one he likes is her. After a wonderful hype from ep 6, this ep just fell to a steady bump free car ride. There are moments that you want to just fly by, there are the times that would leave you questioning what is to come and then there are times that would leave you questioning how could she not know that he knows already. Tae Joon is really trying to figure out his feelings for Jae Hee. He is falling for her, no doubt, but he can’t openly show it to her so he has to be by her side and be the tentative guy saving her from every trouble like her superman. Compared to everyone and especially Eun Gyul, his care for Jae Hee is very different and is slowly growing into an obscure love whether he wants it to be known or not.
Poor Eun Gyul cannot even identify himself any more. He is struck by his yearning for Jae Hee but in many ways he is trying to pull himself back and change all that. Continue reading
